This was a deck addition to a Wallace Neff designed beach house.  It was very important to both the  client and the architect that the new deck appear as original. “I wasn’t imvolved with the decision of switching the guardrail to stainless steel.”  Steve Yett notes; “My  original plan was to have a more traditional looking composite railing with simple vertical balustrades.   I’m sure the builder thought stainless steel would fair better at the beach with less maintenance.”
